Today I went down to Providence to visit the Retro-Computing Society of Rhode Island. There’s in the old Atlantic Mills building.
They’ve got a pretty amazing collection of old DEC equipment. A lot of classics, like this 11/45:
As well as some more obscure things. They’ve also got a bunch of Symbolics and SGI machines. And they’ve got some great Sun gear, including this Trancept accelerator board.
We had a great time talking about the old days and our favorite systems. We even got a little hacking done. Hans and Manuel managed to get VAX Lisp running on one of the VaxStations.
It was a fun trip!
