Mt Monadnock
The other day we hiked up Mount Monadnock. It was a nice day for a hike, and it was cooler up at the top of the mountain.
Chris spent a lot of the hike playing with her new camera.
She has just gotten a new telephoto lens for it. The 200mm length combined with the size of the Micro 4/3rds sensor gives it quite a throw. But the image stabilization and small size make it relatively easy to handle. After the boys climbed up to the top of this cliff …
… she snapped this picture with it.
While we were at the top, we could see rain showers zooming across the valley below us. As we were climbing down, one finally caught up with us and got all of the rocks wet.
At about the same time, the sole of one of Chris’s hiking boots failed. As a result, it was a fairly exciting climb down.
On the way home, we treated ourselves to burgers, fries, and ice cream at Johnsons.
