Peter’s New Computer
Peter’s been building a new computer recently. It’s built around an i5-2500K and a Z68 motherboard, and a case with a lot of blue fans.
For the most part, it went together very quickly. We got it all up and running in no time, using the integrated graphics. But we had an awful time getting this graphics card to work.
We finally decided that it was a power issue. So we ordered an OCZ 600W PSU and added that.
This is a really nice power supply. Notice the modular connectors. You can decide exactly what types of cables you need and don’t have unused ones cluttering up the inside of the case.
Once we swapped in this new power supply, we had no problems with the graphics card. It runs fine and benchmarks about 3 times as fast as anything else in the house.
It all looks pretty cool too, doesn’t it?
