20 Years
I bought a Miata back in 1993, and it’s been my daily driver ever since. It’s still a lot of fun to drive, but it’s getting some rust, and it’s not really as reliable as it once was. So it was clear that it was finally time to get a new car.
So what did I get? You bet:
It’s almost as fun as the original. It feels a little bit heavier, it has a lot of silly things like electric window lifts, and it has a bit too much of the boy-racer look about it, but it handles well, sounds great, and it’s just the right size. Plus, it doesn’t have all of the odd rattles that the other one has.
Hopefully this one will age as well as the first one has. We’ll see in the year 2033.
