Pirates!
Last night we went to see a production of Pirates of Penzance by the Boston Summer Opera company.
It was a wonderful production. The cast were all great. Great singing and lots of energy. The music (provided by the Horizon Ensemble) was first rate. And the location! It was in the historic Unitarian church in Boston with all its history (and the Tiffany windows).
Before the concert, we had dinner at the Copley Plaza, which is a great spot for people watching on a summer evening. Afterwards, we strolled through the Public Garden.
The weather was perfect, just like its was when we went to see Commonwealth Shakespeare perform As You Like It on the Common the other night.
