Lego Servo Brick
One thing we knew we needed to do with the Arduino is to figure out how to connect it to our favorite building set. It turns out that the servo we have (a Turnigy TG9) is almost a perfect fit. To build the following:
We took a 2×8 plate and shaved 6 of the pins off it. Then we stacked a 2×2 brick and a 2×2 plate at one end and a 1×2 brick and a 1×2 plate at the other end. Then we set the servo in with a little “hut glue” and added another 2×8 plate across the top. A Technics lift arm is a perfect press fit on the shaft. The result is a 2×8 double height brick with a computer controlled servo built into it.
You can use this as a basic building block to assemble all sorts of funny machines.
