Jim Henson’s Fantastic World
Today we went to an exhibit at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington. The exhibit was called Jim Henson’s Fantastic World. It’s about the guy who created the Muppets. Unfortunately this was the last day it was in Lexington. So if you want to see it you’ll have to go to Chicago Museum of Science and Industry later this year.
One of our family’s favorite videos on you tube is the Mahna Mahna video. They had the puppets from this video in the exhibit.
I was surprised to discover that before the Muppets, Jim Henson did a lot of TV ads. I liked the ad storyboards because they were quite funny.
I also learned that he made a movie called Dark Crystal. It sound very cool and I would like to see it. The characters in the movie are all puppets.
The exhibit was fun. There was also a bunch of pictures of National Parks at the museum. The pictures were nice, and I decided I want to see some of the parks that I haven’t been to, but not the ones that take a week to get to.
