Fitting Bodywork
This was a busy weekend in the garage. I’m starting to install the body on the Westfield. That involves a lot of fiddling around to get all of the joints to come out nice and even.
It can be a little frustrating, because when you push one part back, and unrelated part moves up.
There are also a number of holes that need to be drilled in the body. I’ve been marking those out with blue tape.
I’ve got the front tacked down with clecos.
And I’ve mounted the rear fenders. Those are traditionally installed with nylon license plate bolts. The theory is that if you hit something, the bolts will break before the fiberglass does. I’m not sure I believe that, but I’m always happy to go with tradition.
