Lexington 250th
Today was the 250th anniversary of the battle that kicked off the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775. So today’s parade in Lexington was bigger that ever. And it was a beautiful day fortunately, especially since it SNOWED last weekend.
It included lots of minutemen, of course.
Plenty of fife and drum.
We saw folks that we haven’t seen in years.
Many people had signs reminding us of what the original patriots were fighting for…
and what we’re fighting for now…
Along with reminders of how wonderfully diverse Lexington is now.
Everyone came together to celebrate the day and support each other. Like this little boy offering his lantern to the militia along the route.
You can see all the photos from today.
