Amaryllis
A friend gave me an amaryllis bulb at New Years. For several weeks it sat there looking like nothing was happening. Then just a few weeks ago it started sprouting. It’s amazing to me that something can grow 2 feet in so little time. Now it has this beautiful red and cream bloom, with another bud that is just off to the left waiting in the wings. It’s so nice to have something brightening up the kitchen when it’s still so cold out, and spring is weeks away.
