Fall Berries
It was in the high 50’s a sunny most of the weekend, so we spent most of the four days outside doing things like raking.
We may not have had many acorns this year, but we’ve had a bumper crop different types of fall berries.
There’s a lot of bittersweet this year:
but we get a lot of that most years. We’ve also got a lot of barberries:
We’ve had an enormous purple wintercreeper for years, but I don’t remember it ever having berries before. They’re pretty interesting:
The juniper berries a big and fat this year too…
There are also lots of big wisteria seedpods.
While we were raking, Chris found this cute little salamander hiding in the leaves.
Here’s a close-up.
Isn’t it cute?
