Another Interesting Polyhedron
I really liked George Hart’s recent video on one of Abraham Sharp’s quirky polyhedra. That inspired me to make one in OnShape. That’s handy because you can then use the cool measuring tool to double check Abraham’s calculations. It’s not going to give you as many decimal places as he did though!
Thanks to Google Books, you can read Geometry Improv’d online, although the figures are all illegible. He refers to this one as A Solid of Eighteen Baſes.
I haven’t had a chance to make a physical one yet. I’ve been busy refinishing hardwood floors and painting walls.
